New Life Teen Ministry

newlife_teenministryNew Life Bible Church exists to encourage and aide Junior and Senior high students in their pursuit to glorify and enjoy God. We are committed to raising up a new generation of Christian leaders who are prepared for works of service so that the Body of Christ may be built up. At New Life Bible Church it is our aim to provide students an opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to nurture and tutor those who respond, and equip them to become disciple makers.

This will be accomplished through worship and Bible studies, discipleship groups, mission opportunities, service projects, and fellowships. We desire to minister to our teens within the context of their own families by getting parents involved at every level of our ministry and ministering to them as well. All of this is done with the passionate desire to raise up teenagers who reflect the image of Christ to the praise of God.

The teen ministry of NLBC is to  assist parents by partnering with them in their God-given role of teaching and training their teen to (1) know God, (2) cultivate Christ-likeness, (3) apply scriptural truth to daily life, and (4) serve God and others.

Know God

God longs for people to know Him (Hosea 6:6). •God has revealed Himself to us through creation (Romans 1:18-20), the Person of Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14, 18), and His infallible Word (John 5:39). •Our desire is that our teens have a heart knowledge that knows Him experientially, not just a head knowledge that knows about Him (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

Cultivate Christ-Likeness

This is the God-ordained goal for each of His children (Romans 8:29). •This can only take place as we abide in Him (John 15:4). •Our desire is to help our teens act and think like God wants them to act and think (Philippians 2:5).

Apply Scriptural Truth to Daily Life

It is the source for true happiness and wise decision-making (John 13:17; 2 Timothy 3:15). •Failure to heed it has devastating consequences (Matthew 7:24-27). •Our desire is to see our teens obey God and enjoy His blessing (Joshua 1:8). •Serve God and Others •This focus conquers the natural self-centeredness of our age (Philippians 2:20-21). •This is a distinguishing mark of leadership (Matthew 20:26-27).

Our desire is that God would develop a servant's heart in our teens (Luke 22:27).

Serve God and Others

This focus conquers the natural self-centeredness of our age (Philippians 2:20-21). •This is a distinguishing mark of leadership (Matthew 20:26-27). •Our desire is that God would develop a servant's heart in our teens (Luke 22:27).
